Time for A Personalized Clock

I’ve decorated a total of three kids’ rooms/nurseries (we moved once), and the one item that is so easily forgotten is a clock. My son’s room was seemingly perfect - I thought I was an “expert” from having already decorated my oldest’s room. The Domestic Diva on Olive Kids

Olive Kids is a fantastic online store that features tons of cute children’s decor. I especially like the theme rugs!! It is amazing how just adding a simple thing like a rug can really tie in the look that you are going for. Right now the half of the boys room is in sports theme for my oldest son, and the other half is decked out in animal safari for the baby.

You can definitely tell when you walk in the room which side of the room is whose especially thanks to the safari theme rug we got from Olive Kids. Olive Kids is not just limited to rugs though, they have bedding, accents, accesories, as well as several items that can be personalized with your child’s name on them. Olive Kids would be a great place to start to decorate a baby’s room or any child’s room for that matter.

Time Will Tell

Punky has really started showing an interest in telling time. She moves the clock hands on her plastic kitchen around all the time and tells me what time it is. So it was perfect "timing" when Olive Kids asked me to review one of its personalized clocks. We chose this one and gave it to Punky for her birthday and she was thrilled to have a clock with her own name on it. It's a wonderful way to make learning to tell time exciting for your child.

The timing was perfect because I had been recently complaining to my husband that every time I gave my daughter a bath, I never knew how long I was sitting in the bathroom with her. I was constantly calling out to him, “Hon, what time is it?” Now I have the cutest clock that matches my daughter’s room and bathroom (we are all about ladybugs and butterflies), and I never have to ask what time it is again!

I never had trouble, while on vacation as a child, finding various trinkets that had my name on them. You couldn't spit without hiting another Laura in the 80's. I hated it. I vowed that when I had a kid, I would name them something uncommon, but not weird. Turns out, Little Miss has a name that is just that, uncommon but not weird. The only problem is that someday I know she is going to reach the age where not finding her name on the itsy-bitsy license plate for her bike is going to be a problem.

Enter Olive Kids, a great online store for all your personalizing needs. Not only personalized stuff, they have stinkin' cute bedding, room decor and other great stuff for kids' to call their own. I am a big supporter of letting kids be kids for as long as possible. They have enough time ahead of them to have "grown-up stuff". That is one of the reasons I love Olive Kids- their designs are not too silly, but still for kids. Olive kids is also a great way to steer your little one away from a brand-name-bedroom. They have tons of stuff that kids love- pirates, mermaids, robots, cowboys, and animals.

Olive kids sent us an awesome shower curtain for our one bathroom. Having one bathroom, I am pretty much stuck with a kid theme, but that's ok- it never fails to cheer me up when I go in and see all the fun colors and mermaids. The pattern of dancing mermaids is cute without being too cutesie. It is sweet but not overly so and I love the bold colors. We also have a great pirate growth chart that is going to hang in Mr. Man's big boy room when we move. It is on heavy paper and will look great in his room.

Overall Score ***: Love this shop and love these great items that let kids be kids and let them all have something with their own name printed on it.

Butterflies are free to fly

I told you back in March that I was bugging our design department to create a spring placemat. Stephanie created the butterfly garden placemat which was an instant hit with Olive Kids customers.



We started to get requests for this design on other product so Stephanie with the help of Steve designed a personalized framed print, clock and name tags in the butterfly garden design!

I think you'll agree that little girls everywhere would love to have our butterfly garden clock or personalized framed print on their bedroom wall or the butterfly garden name tag attached to their backpack or sports or music bag!

Has a few nice word to say about Olive Kids. Actually she has lot of kind word to say about us and here they are...

"Slowly but surely, we have transformed my toddler’s crib into her “big girl bed”. We went from lowering the mattress, to taking down one rail, to transitioning to a full-on bed with no rails (up against a wall). Sure, it’s a tad bit smaller than a twin size but all thirty-four inches of her (including at least 10 stuffed animals) fits onto it just swimmingly.

Now, I opted for OK’s brand new Tea Party design for our bedding, since we have more of a “pretty in pink” kind of theme going on. Nothing says “big girl room” like tea cups and muffins! I love the light-weight, cotton comforter and sheet set. There have been some peaceful nights in our house now that she’s all cuddled up in her Tea Party toddler bedding.
