Last day to enter to win the $150 gift certificate!

I keep on getting more and more entries and some of the comments you are sending in are making me smile and really appreciate what everyone does at Olive Kids to bring our Wonderful products to your kids rooms! With that in mind I thought I would post some of my favorites: (I took out the room and the name of the products but you get the idea)!

Karen, Sidney Maine
Each week I watch Extreme Makeover and am truly amazed and inspired. I just finished watching and thought it was so cool to see your products in ______ , including the _______ and the_________. They are in fact two of the very same items that my two boys picked for when we redo their room this spring. Winning a certificate would be great to help redo their room, but whether I win or not we will still be purchasing your product. My oldest son Andrew currently has a Trains, Planes, and Trucks room. He really wants to share a room with his two year old brother Ethan, so the plan this spring is to get a bunk bed and all new bedding for the two of them and believe it or not Andrew still wants the same bedding (or some days he changes his mind to Under Construction) and his little brother wants what he wants. Well congratulations on being a part of such a wonderful show and project and thank you for making such a great, affordable product that makes it easy and fun to decorate a child’s room!!

Tayna, Springfield PA
I saw the show and your company decorated______ with the ________. It looked awesome!!! My older son's room is decorated in your "Under Construction" theme and I was entering the contest to be able to decorate my younger son's room with your wonderful products. No matter what, I think it's great that you made the Voisine family so happy!!

The room that Olive kids decorated was ______s. It was done in ____________. What a great room. You guys deserve a round of applause. Great job.

I hope to hear from you as a winner. If I do not win I still love my son's room that is decorated with your Pirates theme. What great products you have.

I love watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition & I love your products. We have purchased products from the Trains, Planes & Trucks line for our 3 yr old son. I was pleased to see that your company helped out this family in need. You guys are great & I look forward to buying more products from your company for not only our son's room but for our twin daughters' room.

I would like to enter your contest. Olive Kids helped decorate ____ room. I saw the __________!

Thanks again for helping this family! I love knowing that I'm buying from a company that really cares about families especially those in need. Great job!!!

Great job! Please enter me in your contest - I love your products. I've given your personalized placemats as gifts and they have gotten rave reviews!

Joan, Chicago IL
The team on Extreme Home Makeover used Olive Kids products on ______ bedroom. They used the _____________!
I love that design and I watched it with my 2 year old and suggested we use that motif when we move in a few months. I love the concept of EHM and I always support companies who donate towards these needy families. I will recommend your company to my friends and tell them of your generosity.

Enter to win a $150 Olive Kids Gift Certificate

Olive Kids Products are going to be part of the Extreme MakeOver Home Edition on January 27th!

We were very excited to be part of this wonderful process! When we found out that EMHE was going to be in New Hampshire we got in touch with them right away and asked what we could do!

John Maroney, one of the Design Producers, called me up and told me the theme of the room he was designing (I'm not telling) and then asked us for a couple of kids products he thought would look great in the room! I started telling him other things I thought would go well with his design and he said that he didn't want to ask for too much! I told him that Russell and Anita, the owners of Olive Kids, were willing to donate whatever he needed to make the room special! We came up with the list and all the employees pulled together to get them made and boxed up!

Russell, his son, Jackson and I went to deliver the Olive KIds Products to the event! We got our very own Extreme Make Over Home Edition t-shirts and got to walk around and see all the hustle and bustle that goes on while trying rebuild a home in 7 days! It was a wonderful feeling and we can't wait to see it on TV!

To celebrate Olive Kids being part of Extreme MakeOver Home Edition we are sponsoring a contest so you can win Olive Kids products!!

Watch Extreme MakeOver Home Edition on January 27th; then send us an email at: contests@olivekids.com.

Olive Kids meets Denise Richards

It was the end of the day and we found out that Denise Richards was going to visit us! Her daughters were in the Kids Spa having their toes done! So we didn't get to meet her kids, but she did sign up to have us send her Personalized Placemats and Name Tags for her daughters Sam & Lola.

Olive Kids Meets Bridget Moynahan

We were a little disappointed, being from New England and Patriots fans, that Bridget did not bring little John with her! But we were excited to give him his very own Game On Football Name Tag. We are not so sure how happy Mom was to see the football design; but what can I say, his dad is a famous football player!

Olive Kids Meets Ming Na

You would recognize her voice when you heard it because she was the voice behind Disney’s Animated Classic, Mulan. The entire time I was talking to her I kept thinking her voice was so familiar but I couldn't place it or her face! Then she signed up for us to send her Personalized Placemats for both her kids! As soon as I saw her name I said (not out loud) Mulan! She did her voice! I waited until she finished at the next booth and told her that we had already made Placemats for her kids, Cooper & Michaela! She was so happy and her sister, who was with her, loved them too! So we are sending her one for her daughter, Hope.

Olive Kids meets Jason Priestly

Boy do I remember watching 90210 and loving every minute of it! He now has a new show "Side Order Of Life" and he was such a nice guy! His daughter, Ava Veronica, is not quite ready for her placemats but Jason assures me that will become a party of meal time and crafts time in his home!

Olive Kids meets Tori Spelling

My co-worker, Steve, was excited to have his picture taken with Tori Spelling! She loved our bright colorful designs! She signed up for us to send her a Personalized Placemat for her son Liam!

Olive Kids Meets Kevin Fraizer & family

Kevin Frazier's our favorite E! Correspondent. His son, Shane, was getting sleepy. He loves trucks so we gave him an Olive Kids Transportation Ultra-Soft Raschel Throw. He snuggled right up to it! We are also sending Personalized Placemats and Name Tags for him and his little brother, Caleb!

Olive Kids meets Larenz Tate

You remember him, he was in Crash and in NBC's Royal Family! Well to us, his son, Miles, was the star of this show! He LOVES Dinosaurs and when he saw the Olive Kids Dinosaurland Plush Pillow he couldn't resist it! And we couldn't resist giving it to him! We have also sent him his very own Personalized Dinosaurland Placemat and Name tag!

We do get to Meet Angela Bassett!

If your saw the post about Taryn Rose, the shoe designer, you'll know that Angela (yes I can call her that) was not expected! Well, to our very happy surprise the next morning we got word from Mikey Glazer (who works for a PR firm in LA) that Angela Bassett had called to say that she would be attending the event on Saturday. It turns out that Taryn called Angela to let her know that Olive Kids had made personalized Floor Pillows her twins. A Mermaids Floor pillow for her daughter Bronwyn, and an Olive Kids Pirates Floor Pillow for her son, Slater. I am a huge fan of Angela Bassett's so I was so excited to hear that she had rescheduled her day to come to the Boom Boom Room to get the Personalized Floor Pillows and Placemats for her children. Angela was warm, gracious and truly thankful for the special thoughts we put into giving her children a personalized gift. It was one of the the highlights of my Boom Boom experience.

Olive Kids meets Louis Lomdardi and Family

What a great guy! I loved him on Sopranos (I miss that show) and he is GREAT on 24 (can't wait for that to start up again). He is the best a being at dad though... his daughter and wife were so sweet! Ava (his daughter) loved the Tea Party and Mermaids Placemats and her mom gave us their mailing address so we can personalize them for her!

Olive Kids meets Sally Richardson

She was so good as Will Smith’s wife in “I Am Legend” and she is an even better mom! Her daughter, Parker was so cute; don't you love the face painting? :) Parker loved seeing her name on her Olive Kids Placemats and Name Tag one day we may see her name in lights like her mom!

Olive Kids Meets Ali Landry

Ali Landry was so very nice and she was thrilled to get an Olive Kids Personalized Clock, Placemat and Name Tags for her daughter Estela!

Olive Kids Meets Carnie Wilson!

I must tell you that no matter how famous we think these stars are; the ones that have kids are parents just like you and me! The first day I was kind of nervous about what were they going to think of the Personalized Placemats and Name Tags we made for their kids! How are we going to tell which celebrity is whom? (I don't watch a lot of TV and Steve watched even less than me). Well, I have to say our Personalized Olive Kids gifts were a BIG hit at the show!

Carnie Wilson came in and I gave the Placemats and Name Tag that we had made for Lola. She was with her Mom and she called her mom over. Carnie said "Can you believe how thoughtful they are?! Lola is going to love these!" I then told her that I had also made some for her sister, Wendy's, four boys. She looked at me like I had just given her the most wonderful gift and said, “This is so nice! My sister couldn't get a baby sitter so she couldn't attend.” It brought a tear to her eye and make us feel pretty special too! pretty special too!

Olive Kids meets Taryn Rose

Taryn Rose is a wonderful shoe designer and sweet person! She came to our room and when she stopped by the Olive Kids table she was very surprised that we had made Personalized Placemats and Name Tags for her 3 children, Milo, Anneka & Peter. She loved them and her assistant Amy Ramirez noticed that we had made some Personalized Floor Pillows for Angela Basset; she informed me that Taryn had thrown Angela her baby shower and that Angela's schedule was not allowing her to attend the event. She gave me her card and told me that I could send them to her and she would make sure that Angela received them for her children. As a thank you we told her that we would send her daughter, Hope ,some Personalized Placemats and Name Tags!

Olive Kids Meets Diana Riva

Are you wondering where you have seen her before? She is on "Side Order Of Life" with Jason Priestly! She wasn't on the first list so we took down her kid’s name and sent her a Personalized Placemat and Name Tag!

We are all set up at boom boom room!

It was a little confusing at first. We thought we had to meet in the lobby at 5:00 but no one was there! The hostess of the event came by and told us she was running late! We got to our room to set up at 7:00 pm (10 pm EST) we were tired but excited to set up the room!
You will never believe where we were set up. It was on the 18th floor of the hotel and they moved all the furniture out of the room and set up 36" round tables for us to showcase our products! We had to share the room with 4 other vendors, who were all very nice and helpful! Steve put together the tables and the girls hunted down the table linens so we could start the set up! It took us about an hour and a half to get it into place and we decided that it was way past dinner time (11:30 pm EST). We would add the final touches in the morning.

Olive Kids arrives in LA! For the Boom Boom Room

We left at 3:00 am (EST) and we arrived in LA at about 11:00 am (which is 2 pm EST). I was thankful that I had lived in the Los Angeles area for 10 years, because those freeways are crazy! By the time we got the rental car, put all of our stuff in the trunk and drove to the Century Plaza Hotel in Beverly Hills it was about 1:30 LA time.

Oh, I forgot to tell you who my travel companion is; his name is Steve and he is the Art Director at Olive Kids! He is going to help set up and take pictures of all of the celebrities. The funny thing was, not only do we come from a very small town, Steve had never flown on a plane before. So not only was he going to be on a plane for the first time, it is one of the longest flights and we were going to the very big city of Los Angeles! He flew on the plane like he was a seasoned traveler; however when he got out of the airport he said, “How can anyone live here, it smells terrible!" Nothing like country air! He has driven in New Jersey so he was perfect to get behind the wheel in LA.

The hotel is beautiful, but no one knew where we should put our products we brought with us; where the room was that would be hosting the event. We finally found a great bell man who helped us with our stuff. Then Steve went to his room on the 9th floor and mine was on the 11th. What a hotel! We set up tonight!

It's Here! The Celebrity List for the Boom Boom Room!

Talk about last minute …we leave on the 10th at 3:00 am!
AAnyway we decided to go on the baby celebrity blogs and make Personalized Placemats and Name Tags for the celebrity children that were attending! The only problem was we leave in less than 3 days! Here at Olive Kids, we always pull together as a team and we knew we'd get it done! I just felt bad for Stephanie in our art department she was going to have to make a lot (over 200 placemats and name tags) in just two days! Here is a list of some of the celebrities that are coming and some of the kids’ names I was able to find!

o Ming Na ((seen on “ER”, Disney’s “Mulan”, “Joy Luck Club”) who is married to Eric Zee (Dr Quinn, Exit the Dragon) who have two children together Cooper and a daughter Michaela

o Ali Landry (seen on “Eve” and former Miss America) has a daughter, Estela.

o Angela Basset (“How Stella Got Her Groove Back”) has twins, a daughter Bronwyn & a son Slater.

o Bridget Moynahan (model and actress) has a son, John. Also well known in New England, where I live, as ‘The woman who had Tom Brady's baby’. I hope I get to see him!

Let's see, I'll give you some more names.... How about: famous singers, Carnie & Wendy Wilson, Alimi Ballard (Numbers), Catt Sadler (E!), Evan Handler (Lost), David Arquette (Scream), Jason Priestly (90210 and Side Order of Life), Jessica Capshaw (The Practice), Kim Porter (Wicked Game and Mother of P Diddy's twins), Lauren Holly (NCIS), Leah Remi (King of Queens), Sally Richardson (I Am Legend), Shar Jackson (Ex Wives Club), Taryn Rose (Shoe Designer), Tischa Campbell (Martin) and Tracey Gold (Growing Pains)!

Yes ,we did get the names for all of their kids and more...

That was the first list and it looks like it’s just the beginning! For the celebrities that we do not get the name for, we will give them non-personalized placemats with the option to give us their information to send them Personalized Placemats and Name Tags...

We'll be in LA before you know it ...hopefully it will be warm!
