An Ordinary Life
By reading Kristin's blog you soon find out that there is not much that is ordinary about her. She is a single parent going to college and raising her two and a half year old daughter! She's a wonderful mom who love her daughter deeply and I love reading her blog. I was so happy when she said she would do a review of our products and this is what she had to say!
"I love personalized items, and Olive Kids is the way to go. The make the most adorable items for children, from placemats to personalized framed prints.
They have all sorts of designs for that cowboy in your life, or like me the mermaid in mine. Anything for your child’s themed bedroom they carry. Olive Kids literally carries hundreds of personalized products. They don’t carry traditional characters you find in stores either, these characters are meant to inspire a child. They are easy to relate to, and well aren’t we tired of that whole trendy character thing anyway. So Mom’s if you are looking for wonderful and unique items for your child or even personalized items be sure you head on over to Olive Kids where things are classic, simple and stylish. For the celebrity lovers check out the celebrities that sport Olive Kids they are all in love, as am I.
Also, if you head on over to Mommies United (on the 28th), you will be able to enter to win a 5 pack of the personalized place mats! Trust me, you want to win these!"

Amanda a stay-at-home mom's point of view
We all know how hard stay at home mom's work each day. Taking care of children full time is the hardest job anyone could choice to do and the most important.
Amanda won a 5 pack of personalized placemats
"Back in January I was lucky to win a 5 pack of place mats from Olive Kids. I got the girls the mermaid and the flowers and Samantha one of the Easter mats. I absolutely love the place mats! They are very easy to clean. Simply wipe clean with a damp wash cloth! The measure Measures 12in. x 18in. I love how they have helped keep my girls from fighting over who sits where".
And then did a review of our name tags and our tea party plush pillow.
"Recently I was able to review some more products from Olive Kids, the girls each received a Tea Party Personalized Name Tag. They are very cute! Also laminated with the same thick laminate as the place mats. I attached them to the girls overnight backpacks they use when they visit Grandma!
The girls also have very cute pink girlie bedding, and Sam has an accent pillow for her bed, but Sarah didn't so I was so excited when we received the Tea Party Plush Pillow. The Tea Party plush pillow is a sweet treat for your little ones! A light blue frosted cupcake with colorful sprinkles and a cherry on top is featured on a rosy pink background. The super soft plush appliqué and detailed embroidery make it the perfect accent to the Tea Party Bedding Collection!
I am very impressed with the quality of the products I have received from Olive Kids! I would love to get the girls the Butterfly Garden Personalized Clock. But I probably would get it to say "Sisters" .
Right now Olive Kids is having a sale on quite a bit of their products! If your looking for something different than the usual barbie, princess, or power ranger theme then you have to check out Olive Kids! Not only are their prices very reasonable but the quality of the product you receive is amazing.
When is Spring going to arrive
Here is new hampshire it has been one of the snowiest winters ever! Usually by now you can see some flowers poking up through the snow. Not this year we have over 2 feet of snow on ground so even seeing grass is impossible, unless you want to shovel and who wants to do that? I can handle snow up to February and after that I want it gone. I can't wait for the days to be longer and for the sun to shine. What about you are you missing the signs of spring were you live? Our Flowerland Kids bedding collection will keep Spring in your daughters room all year long, don't you agree!

Easter is early this year!
Have you heard of the old saying "If March comes in like a lion...... it will go out like a lamb." Here in New Hampshire it has sure come in like a lion. Today it has snowed, then freezing rain, then rain and it's suppose to snow again tonight! We are hoping that March will go out like a lamb and that April will be filled with warm day and NO snow! I remember having Easter Egg hunts and the grass was muddy from the Spring thaw; this year you are going to need snow boots, snow pants and to keep the eggs hidden they will need to be white!
Our town has it's Easter Egg Hunt this weekend and in the ad in the newspaper reminding everyone about it; it said Easter Egg hunt starts at 10:00 don't be late because the eggs will be gone by 10:01 and I'm not kidding. I thought that was funny, being the kind of parent that always runs a few minutes behind, I appreciated this kind of honestly. What kind of parent would you feel like if you showed up with your toddler in tow with easter basket ready to be filled with egg and it was over before you even got out of the car. That would not be a good day for your or your child. I can tell you how to guarantee your child, grandchild, niece, or nephew has a wonderful Easter. Order one of our personalized Easter Placemats, we have lots to choice from.
Kids love getting something with their name on it and best of all the price can't be beat at $9.99. click on one of the easter placemats and it will bring to the our site.
Happy Easter

Fun New Product at Olive Kids!
I know as parents we usually frown on our kids writing on the walls, but for some reason most kids do it! With our new peel and stick chalkboards you can create your child's very own creative center. They can copy the fun icons on their bedding from Olive Kids or keep track of their chores (we can wish can't we!!) Our Art Director Steve had some fun drawing our icons from Trains, Planes and Trucks above and below he doodles some from Under Construction, Game On, Out of This World and Flowerland! Who knows your kids could be a budding artists and can get them started with little mess or clean up!They apply to any clean, dry, smooth surface and are easy to remove and readjust. Just peel it off, and position it in it’s new place! We’ve even included the chalk to get you started!

A funny Thing happen at the barn
It was a couple of weeks ago, but I just realized we had pictures I could share! I know that I have told you where we are located but let me refresh your memory. We are in Marlborough New Hampshire on 55 acres of land. Olive Kids is a family owned and run company. Our office is in Anita & Russell's back yard, they did a renovation of their 150 year old barn so their business would only be a couple of steps away from where they are raising their 3 children. Here's a picture of the barn
Now for the funny thing that happened. Russell came in one morning and told us the electric company had asked if they could land their helicopter in his field. I thought he was kidding but he wasn't! It turns out that they have to check the electric towers through out the year and the only way to do that is by helicopter. This job is for the brave and someone who is not afraid of heights! For this winter check they had two guys dressed very warmly (it's cold on the ground let alone flying in a helicopter) and they took turns checking different towers in the area. This is what is so scary (to me anyway) the brave person is attached to the helicopter and he stands outside (you can see him in one of the pictures), they get the tower, he unbuckles himself from the helicopter and hops onto the tower and clips himself onto the tower. He can only stay out there for a couple of minutes because it is so very cold. He climbs back onto the helicopter and clips himself on and flies to our field where he warms up a truck while the next man goes to another tower and they just keep on doing it until the job is down. Can you imagine being clipped to the outside of a helicopter when it is only 10 degrease with a wind chill factor in the negative! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. Have a look for yourself! Seeing is believing!

Watch them Grow with Olive Kids Growth Charts
I was thinking about what to write about today and since I have been hoping for Spring to arrive it started me thinkiing about what signs I look for in the Spring. Buds blossoming on the trees, spring flowers poking through the snow, green grass, bird singing, squirrels running around, the spotting of some fawns stumbling along and of course my cat itching to go out and explore! Then I started thinking about when my kids were little we would alway measure how tall they had grown in the spring and the fall. We did it in their bedroom closet; you know what I mean a marker line drawn at the top of their head with the date. Now they are both taller than me and I measure them by saying things like - I can't believe how tall you are I only come up to your chin. Olive Kids makes keeping track of your kids height even better with our 10 colorful designed growth charts. Once you start keeping track you will be surprised how much or how little they grow at different times in their life!

St Patrick's Day Personalized Placemat
Kids love imagination! When they think of St Patrick's Day they think of leprechauns, rainbows with pots of gold and four leaf clovers to bring them luck. I remember when I was a kid going into the clover field on a sunny day and spending hours with my sister and brothers looking for a 4 leaf clover. My brothers used to alway try and fake my sister and I out by pretending to have found one, we'd chase them around the field to try and see it! We did find a few over the years but my memories lay more in the adventure of the looking! Oh to be a kid again! We want to bring your kids the luck of the Irish everyday with our new St Patrick's Day placemat. What better way to start your kids celebration of the Irish than eating a bowl of Lucky Charms in the morning; followed up by your corn beef and cabbage on their Olive Kids St Patrick's Day placemat with their name on it!
