Merry Christmas Everyone

Today is our Christmas party which we look forward to each year. Russell and Anita have our lunch catered by 12 Pines which makes outstanding food, we can't wait to see what is on the menu! We also do a very fun yankee swap which always makes us laugh! Some of things people bring - I wonder were they find them!

As you can imagine, the holiday season at Olive Kids is always very busy. This year it was especially busy because we didn't have power for 3 days during our busiest week! We had to move the embroidery machines to our other building (which only lost power for 1 day) so we could make our floor pillows in time for Christmas delivery.

Stephanie braved the cold, she had a generator that was powering her computer and the printers so she could get everything personalized in time. Then everyone worked together to ensure everything arrived in our customer's home in time to make it under the tree! We did it with time to spare - teamwork really does pay off!

Thank you all for making Olive Kids a part of your kids rooms we truly appreciate it!

Merry Christmas to all and to all good night!

1st Place Canvas Art Contest Winner

She was so excited to win! She asked us if we would make a special version of our Mermaids Canvas art print to fit her precious family! Of course we said yes!

She posted this on her blog!

Thank You Olive Kids!
I feel so blessed this year with all the wonderful things we get sent to us! The girls were thrilled when I won this giveaway from Olive Kids of this canvas. Look at how they personalized it with each of the girls name and even put a brown mermaid in the picture for us! This is all done on the nicest canvas. Quite impressive! Thanks Olive Kids! Can I tell you that I have two little girls that adore the color purple and were thrilled to see the mermaids had purple hair!

Isn't this cute?!

Kid Buy Products

Where the motto is buying products for your kids is a mother of a problem...our motherhood collective is here to help! The great news for Olive Kids is that they LOVE our products!

"For the past month, I have had moms, grandmas, aunts and friends all asking for gift ideas for my kids. In the hopes of not actually having my entire house taken over by toys, I try to recommend other practical stuff with kid-friendly designs that my kids can use and will love- Olive Kids has a huge selection of items that fit this bill!
We reviewed this super cute bumblebee pillow and the farm blanket from Olive Kids. The pillow is incredibly soft and Lilly loved it as soon as we pulled it out of the box. Both items were very well made and have held up through many pillow fights, tent constructions and pretend sleepovers .
There are a couple of reasons that I like the things from Olive Kids. The first is how comprehensive they are in their sets of items- This pillow, for instance, is just part of the "Flowerland" kids bedding collection. The entire collection has everything from sheets to comforter covers to curtains and valances and even things like shower curtains and liners and rugs. Another of my favorite things about Olive Kids is the huge variety of personalized products that they offer- They have everything from placemats to framed art to clocks (like the one at the beginning of the post) Plus, they offer such a large number of number of different designs that you are sure to find something that will appeal to just about any kid-- that train-loving guy, the dino-obsessed gal, the princess-fiend or any of the other obsessions that young children have! Price-wise, the items at Olive Kids are pretty comparable to other speciality kid items on the market.
And while I might hesitate to pay $24 for one pillow for my kid, their other bedding items are actually very reasonably priced. You can get a twin sized bedding set which includes both the comforter and the sheet set for about $100.

My Sentiments Exactlee

Lee is the women behind this wonderful both - do you like the creative way she added her name to her blog "exactlee"MySentimentExactLee
She also writes for peekaboo picks which is another wonderful blog
Lee is a big fan of Olive Kids and I was happy to have her review our toddler bedding. Her son picked out the Out of this World design!

"My nearly 4 year old son wants nothing more than a Buzz Lightyear bedroom. I admit Buzz Lightyear is the reason for the season as far as he is concerned and who can say he'll still feel that way in 3 months let alone three years from now? So instead we compromised and decided a space themed bedroom was the way to go. Olive Kids helped me achieve this character free decor, and my son couldn't be happier. His bedding set is bright and colorful and more comfortable than anything else we could find in stores.

Olive Kids brings classics to the table by offering the theme children are most interested in but removing the cartoon or character element that can be quickly outgrown. With designs such as “Under Construction” with cool cars and trucks or “Mermaids” with a fun ocean friend background your children will love these colorful bedding sets.

When it comes right down to it, what is most important is how the bedding feels. The comforters are so soft and snugly that they make you want to fold up on the couch to take a nap. My son constantly takes his out of the bedroom to pull around the house for easy cuddle access.

My favorite part about Olive Kids is the accessories that match each bedding set. Clocks, Wall Murals and Rugs are only three of the extras you can order to bring your child's room to life. They will also personalize many items so that your child's room is that much more original."

Thanks Lee for posting about Olive Kids on both sites!

Subject: Holiday Gift Guide at Seven Dogs and a Baby

I finally finished off our picks for the Holiday Gift Guide and congratulations you were chosen as one of the winners! I had a rough time doing the gift guide as quite honestly the picks were personal as they are really the best and the brightest of the submissions we have gotten all year. There are just a few left from the guide that do not yet have official reviews but they will be in and the links will be updated to the reviews shortly if your item is one of these currently it will link to the actual sales page this will update to the review page as soon as the review is finished.

Congrads! I hope I hear from each of you in the upcoming year and keep those review idea pitches coming! :)

http://www.sevendogsandababy.com/2008/11/connors-favorite-things.html

I figured today would be the perfect day for me to announce my top holiday picks for the year. All the items listed are separated by category and are in no particular order. These items come from my reviews from throughout the year and as well as items we have in testing now that may not have a review in yet. Every item selected either Connor or myself have personally tested and we give them our complete thumbs up! Most if the items included have links to review there are still just a few we still need to present to you in a full review but I wanted to get the list to you guys now. Check back as we finish up the reviews and offer a few giveaways to boot! The picture to the left is of Connor last Christmas in front of our tree!

Just a mom's take on things

As you know Olive Kids has a Holiday Gift Guide to help you find the right gift for all the kids on your list! We are a little bias with our love for our products so we reached out to some mom bloggers to get their opinions.

Deb who is a mom of 3 girls and the blogger behind "Just a mom's take on things" added us to her holiday gift guide

Here is her take on Olive Kids

Each of my girls was able to pick out the design that she wanted for a bookmark and nametag, that were then personalized with their names. I was interested to see that they didn’t choose the same design for both items in all cases:

When they arrived, the girls were absolutely thrilled. The older two have been using their bookmarks constantly when they read. And I attached the name tags to their backpacks – with our track record in losing items (at least my oldest’s), having their names on things is definitely a great idea, and I love that the names aren’t prominently displayed either so it’s not a safety hazard. There’s space on the backs of the nametags to fill out contact information as well, so these can be used as luggage tags if you travel too.

The girls are impressed with the fun designs and are thrilled with having their names on them. I am also impressed with the quality – both of the printing, and of the bookmarks and tags themselves. They are coated in a heavy plastic, making them extremely sturdy – something that’s definitely a good thing when kids are involved.

My oldest picked the ‘Butterfly Garden’ design for both her bookmark and nametag and is thrilled to have her name entwined with the butterflies flying around. My 5-year-old chose mermaids for her bookmark and one of her favorite things – ponies, for her nametag. My youngest loves having the ‘fishies’ and turtles on her bookmark and is all about the pink ‘tea party’ design on her name tag.

One thing I like a lot about Olive Kids is how well everything coordinates – the same styles that the girls had to choose from for the bookmarks and name tags are available in placemats, wall art, other accessories, and even bedding.

The bottom line:

Olive Kids has fun products for every style and budget – and with so many great style options, kids are sure to find something that they love. Whether you are looking to redecorate your child’s room, or just want some fun, personalized stocking stuffers, Olive Kids is a great choice this holiday season.

Deb we couldn't had have asked for a better review!

Northwest Mom Finds

Our placemats are a hit with Heather from Northwest Mom Finds she wanted all of her reader to discover our wonderful line of personalized products!

"Mine, all mine

Is there anything little kids love more than seeing something marked as their very, very own?

Olive Kids understands that love. Which is why it offers all sorts of personalized items for children, including my favorite: the personalized placemats. Nearly fifty different designs--including one for almost every holiday--each with a prominent spot for a child's name

On the practical side, they are large enough to protect the table from messy eaters and the sturdy laminate is easy to wash clean. My one wish would be greater diversity in the designs which feature people. Even so, with such a variety of options, these have become a go-to birthday gift for our friends and family.

The brightly colored pictures are sure to bring a smile to your little ones' faces. But it's seeing their name in print--their own special name!--that will push your gift over the top. And maybe even keep them sitting happily at the dinner table just a little bit longer."

Northwest Mom Finds blog had 154 people comment on which placemats they loved the most, which one is your favorite?

Olive Kids is a Winner

Sarah from "The Winning Pitch" blog loves Olive Kids Personalized Placemats.

"We use placemats like you would not believe in my house! My kids are messy eaters, as is my husband, so we have many different ones to pick from at each meal, except some festive ones for the up coming holidays. Note to self that I need to buy some soon!

Olive Kids has the cutest personalized placemats for Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, Christmas, and even Hanukkah! (Plenty more designs too for whatever theme you are looking for: sports, flowers, robots, etc...) Perfect for kids who fight over "spots" at the table, their custom placemat will tell them where to sit and where to make their own personalized mess! Made from heavyweight laminate, these placemats are durable and will last meal after meal.

While you are on their site, Olive Kids is one of my favs so check out everything else they have to offer, especially their bedding designs which are so colorful and fun and absolutely cozy!"

Thanks for the kind words Sarah!

Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving traditions are sometimes handed down generation after generation; other are introduced to the family through marriage, family friends or just because you came up with a good idea and everyone liked it!
When I was a child our tradition was to go to my Nana's on my mom's side. My Nana was a very proper French lady, eating at her house was like being at a very fancy restaurant. She was a wonderful cook, but very very old fashion; the girls has to do all the dishes by hand! My sister and I were the only girls in the family so while everyone else was relaxing we were doing all the dishes! No matter how many times we said that our two brothers should help us Nana would not change her mind. Our brother loved it!

Thanksgiving is now at my mom's and it's a little more relaxed than at Nana's. Our family has grown so much; that we had to put up a kids' table. All the kids really want to be at the grown up table, but there just isn't enough room. My parents are very happy that they have 16 grand children and a great grand child on the way. But their dining room table only fits 12 people and if you add in the number of adults you get a grand total of 32! My brothers only come with their family every other year so the adult can fit at the table but not the kids.

Two years ago when I started working at Olive Kids I noticed that we made beautiful Thanksgiving placemats. I decided to buy them for the kid's table to make them feel special. Well it worked! The kids loved them! They have already asked Nana if they could use them again this year

Yes, I still have to the dishes with but with help from everyone including the boys and a dishwasher!

.

What's your Thanksgiving Tradition? Leave me a comment telling me your tradition along with how many kids are going to be at your thanksgiving table or at the "kids table" and you could win thanksgiving placemats for the kids in your family! Comments close on Monday at 7:00 am EST so they can made and delivered in time for your Thanksgiving dinner gathering! Good Luck!

Interview with Ohana Mama

I think the hardest part of this interview was deciding which pictures to send her! I tried to get around it but I had not choice My son got married in 2006 and I decided I would send one of the pictures from this special day! I sent the link to my son after it was posted and his reply was "Mom you cut me off"! I am 5'5" and my son is 6' 3" so it was easy to cut him out of the pictures you can see a little of his shoulder if you look closely!

Here is a copy of my interview

Today we're talking story with Kim Poirier, the Marketing Director for the fabulous and fun Olive Kids (what a cool gig to have!). I am sure many, if not all, of you have heard of Olive Kids. They have the cutest coordinates for your child's room. So you know the product...now let's get to know the marketing guru that's launched Olive Kids into all of our lives! Give a big Aloha to Kim!

Aloha Kim!, Olive Kids seems like THE place to go to get your kid's room decorated! How did you get started with this awesome company?

I started working for Olive Kids two years ago, after I lost my job and moved to the Mondnock region in New Hampshire. I looked around at the different companies that were here and decided that I loved the products Olive Kids designed and the story of how they got started. I sent them my resume (they were not hiring) and persuade them for a couple of months, then I was lucky enough for them to decide to create a position for me here.

A little bit about the Olive Kids story...Olive Kids got started by a mom (Anita) and dad (Russell) who were both in the design industry, they went looking for kid bedding for their then 3 year old daughter and couldn't find anything that wasn't geared around a kid movie or cartoon, so they took their design knowledge and created Olive Kids. When they started Olive Kids it was through licensing their products to different companies who sold the products to different stores. After a year of doing this they started getting customer calls because they found one of our product but couldn't find the others to match. That is how Olive Kids' online store was created, customers wanted what we were designing but they couldn't find it in one spot so we launched the Olive Kids web site.

The selection at Olive Kids is amazing, there's so so much! What are your favorite items that you offer?

My favorites that's tough - I love our Pirates and Mermaids design, Our plush pillow and shams are adorable but if I really had to pick I would say our floor pillows are the best personalized gift we offer, I know my nieces and nephews love them.

Are the designs at Olive Kids all original? Who comes up with the great designs?

Yes everything Olive Kids sells on our site is designed by Russell and Anita, one of them come up with a concept of a design and then they work together to bring it to life.

Where does Olive Kids get their inspiration on items to carry?

We get a lot of our inspiration from Russell and Anita's 3 kids, ideas from parents who work at Olive Kids and from comments our customers send us.

With kids of your own, how do you do it all? Share with us the secrets of being a mom and a top exec at Olive Kids?

I can tell you from working directly with Anita and Russell, parents themselves, that flexibility and organization are key to getting it all done, well most of it anyway. They also hire people who care as much as they do about the products they create and the customers we serve.

I am lucky to work a 4 day work week so I can save all the running around I have to do till Monday which allows me to have family time on the weekend. I also taught both my boys how to cook when they were little; so they can start dinner on the nights that they do not have after school activities; my 15 year old son is quite the cook. They also do all of their own laundry and have a set list of chores during the week. We share the responsibilities in the house so life is easier on everyone.

I follow you on twitter, care to share your twitter name so our readers can make sure to follow you?

Sure! @olivekids

And Olive Kids has a blog, right? What's that url?

http://olivekids.blogspot.com/

What are two things you never leave home without?

Chap stick & hand cream!

Do you have a favorite quote?

good, better, best; never let it rest till your good is better and your better is best!

Great quote Kim, I LOVE that!

Kailani for an Island Life

Kailani was nice enough to review our brand new canvas growth chart!
Growing up with Olive Kids

One of the biggest (and sometimes saddest) thrills that parents encounter with their children is watching them grow. Since I see my girls almost every day, it’s hard to imagine them getting bigger because they always look the same. However, it’s when I see photos of their younger days that I realize just how much they’ve grown.

One great way to keep track of this and develop a treasured keepsake is through growth charts. And boy do I have the perfect one for you from Olive Kids!
From the site: “We created Olive Kids to offer parents like us, and their kids, an affordable alternative to the character based entertainment licenses. Our emphasis is on color and fun, because we believe kids rooms should inspire creativity and play - not be an advertisement for a TV show or movie.”

We received the canvas growth chart to review and we loved it! It’s made with high quality canvas, personalized with Baby Bug’s name, & is the perfect addition to any child’s room. The colors are bright and colorful and you can chart your child’s growth up until they’re 5 feet tall. The markings are printed at 1/8″ intervals for acurate measuring.

Thanks to Olive Kids, we can now keep track of our girls’ growth and they’ll one day be able to look back with fond memories.

Mogulbaby bought Olive Kids bedding...

I met Mrs. Mogul on twitter, she told me that she had purchased Olive Kids Under Construction bedding for her so. She also told me she was going to review it on her site and this is what she had to say!OLIVE THE BEDDING: OLIVE KIDS
I never thought I would be excited about bed sheets for kids but this time I have. Olive Kids, is a New Hampshire-based company that sells bedding and room products for children. Their prints are really fun and their colorful designs are themed on outer space, transportation, tea parties and more.

I have the Under Construction bedding set for my son and he loves it! To check out their other bedding designs, click here.

To name just a few of the celebrities who have received Olive Kids items are Tori Spelling, Scott Baio, Jason Priestly, Angela Martin and Sherri Shephard.

Even The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck took the time to email the company personally when she received a pillow for her daughter Grace. She wrote, "Thank you for the great pillow for grace! she adores mermaids, and loves to "relax" on her latest and greatest pillow!"

No debate followed after she sent that!

Trisha @ Momdot.com tells her OK story

"Olive Kids is a very well known kids site amongst mothers. What is there NOT to love? From bedding, to placements, rugs, to wall art, it doesn’t matter if your kids name is simple like Bob or complex like Penelope. I am a big fan of customization and when you have a name like Charlotte, its just not popping up on keychains that often. Here, I can find something perfect for her room!"

"The best part about Olive Kids, aside from great products, is that Kim will take care of you! From the second you order till the end, you know your in good hands, and you can even talk to Olive Kids on their Twitter! Its no wonder sites and moms accross the net have awarded them and with good reason."

I honestly didn't pay her to say nice things about me; I am just very happy that she loves Olive Kids and that we could be part of her wonderful blog!

Thanks Trisha and fellow Mom Dotters...

Mommy Goggles' love for Olive Kids

I was introduced to Tayna and her blog mommygoggles when she won a giveaway on the "ourlilypad" blog in June of 2008, then she won a giveaway @ the "babyluxdaily" blog in October believe it or not! She was so excited to win and I could tell that she was in love with Olive Kids. So I checked out her blog and realized that she would be a perfect person to do a review for us. Here is what she has to say about Olive Kids."I love personalized items for my kids. Not only is it fun, but it is so nice to let Tucker have his things and Kambry have her things, without having the megs fits that “This is MINE!”. With Olive Kids, we were able to get the kids their own personalized place mats.

Your kids will love seeing their name at every meal on our exclusive personalized kids placemats. Our kids placemats are made with heavyweight laminate so clean-up is neat and easy with a damp cloth. Personalize your kids placemat after you Add to Cart. Tucker loves his ‘Under Construction’ placement and his “Pirates” placemat. Kambry is about to be put in a booster seat, at the table, so mommy chose the ‘Butterfly Garden’ and ‘Happily Ever After’."

This is my favorite part of the review! We sent her one of our soft and cuddly fleece throw for her to review! Just look at the pictures of her son snuggled up with it when he didn't feel good.
"With the cooler weather, it is nice to just be lazy on the couch and cuddle up to a cozy blanket. Oh my goodness! The throws from Olive Kids are amazingly soft and soooo cuddly! Tucker picked out a Pirate throw and he loves it so much. What is funny about this throw is that ever since he got it, he has since forgotten about his “blankie”.

"He was sick that day and all he wanted was his pirate blanket!"

Amanda @ mommymandy reviews OK

Here is a snap shot of what she had to say about our floor pillows. To read the entire review click on the link to her blog on the right hand side bar.

"I just love the fun and bold prints from Olive Kids . We have a few different items from their online store and love everything. Not only is everything so vivid but the quality is outstanding!

So of course I am very excited to share Olive Kids with everyone as apart of my Holiday Guide. The girls both received the adorable Floor Pillows. These pillows are personalized with your child's name on it. Olive Kids floor pillows are the perfect kids companion!"
Great for the bed, to watch movies on or to bring on a trip! Best of all they are personalized to make them even more special for your special child!

My girls love their pillows, they tote them around where ever they go. They love to sit on the floor and watch movies. They even use them as a pillow on their beds. Of course Sarah keeps trying to use Samantha's and Sam knows that hers is hers.

An if your looking for something to make your kitchen table stand out this Holiday Season and keep it clean then I definitely recommend getting the kids some of the cute Holiday Place mats. We have quite a few of the different place mats and I LOVE them."

Your parking space has your name on it!

That is the title of Angela's post on her blog seven dogs and a baby - it's a great blog to read! She has become on of Olive Kids biggest fans!

When it comes to decorating a kid's bedroom Olive Kids is always my first stop. From Pirates to Mermaids your bound to find something to decorate your child's bedroom that suits your little person. Bright Colors, large sets that include everything from wall clocks, shaped pillows, and rugs you can covert an otherwise boring bed room to something really exciting. To make things even more special a large majority of the items in the catalog are customizable.

If your looking for one special item for your holiday list their floor pillows are not only customizable but very versatile. Available in a large variety of color/design choices each of the floor pillows is customizable to include your child's name or even a nickname to make their pillow all their own. The Olive Kids Floor pillows make great room decorations, look great at the head of a bed, or are the perfect companion for watching morning cartoons. Connor has a rocket ship floor pillow with his name embroidered on it. Since I just broke down and installed his own TV in his room I find him sitting and watching his favorite shows propped up on his pillow. As we prepare for a transition to a toddler bed in a few months the floor pillow will also be a great pillow to prop up against his back for reading books at night as well. Its actually a rather big pillow but not so big that you can't take it pretty much everywhere with you.

Floor pillows are not the only personalized item that would make for a great Christmas gift, you can see the entire selection of personalized gifts available from Olive Kids on their website!

We are going to be on Love It of List It

Katherine Brooks of Big Coat Productions contacted me in July to see if we would be interested in having our Tea Party Bedding featured on their hit show. It took less than a second to say yes! She sent me these pictures so I could have a sneak peak of the TV shoot. I though I'd share them with you all.

This episode of Love it or List it is set to air on W Network on December 15th at 9pm and will repeat 3 times the same week. If your in Canada be sure to tune in! It will also air in US, just do not have dates as of yet. I'll keep you posted.

Mom Decorates with Train, Planes and Truck!

Another very happy Olive Kids customer!

This is what Carol had to say about decorating her son's room with Olive Kids Trains, Planes and Truck design!

After 3 years of French toile and nursery pastels, my son was ready for a big-kid room. The trains, planes, and trucks theme was an obvious choice as my son loves anything with wheels, especially tractors. Olive Kids provided me with the essentials to design a creative and personal room that was afforable--and one my son would love. The fun, energizing color scheme inspired me to paint an interactive landscape mural. I used magnetic paint to create "roads" on the walls, where Olive Kids wallies mingle with vehicle magnets, and my son can create his own traffic patterns. I was able to keep nursery remnants, like the rocking chair--giving it a facelift with an Olive Kids quilt and updating the old lampshade with a new coordinating fabric.

Thanks for providing an affordable and attractive alternative to mass-marketed tv characters. My son loves his new room!

I wish I had just a little bit of her talent, look at how she complimented our design with her custom painted murals!

Beautiful!

Baby Let's Shop - Shops at Olive Kids

Olive Kids is a fabulous option if you are looking for a one stop shop for decorating your kids room.
They have many fun and kid friendly themes. Blankets, sheets, clocks, pillows, lamps and rugs are just a few of the products they carry.

We have their Transportation Raschel Fleece Throw and it's a great quality blanket. While much too big for baby L's little toddler bed we just love it's generous size. We do keep it in baby L's bed and fold it in half for the rare occasion that we make his bed. It's nice for his bed because I often find myself squeezed into L's tiny bed trying to comfort him to sleep and it's nice to be able to cozy up under a blanket with him that fits me too. Baby L hates being covered to sleep and this blanket bundled up at the bottom of his bed helps prevent him from falling out but is still within his reach if he does decide he wants a cover.

After quite a few trips through both the washer and dryer this blanket is still soft and fluffy, the colors have not faded nor has the blanket started to pill, it looks as great as it did the day it arrived. I love the idea of being able to pick a theme, pick the pieces you need (ex bedding, decor etc) order and your done, all that's left is the wait.

Olive Kids Raschel Fleece Throw retails for $24.99 US, other products range in price and can be purchased from their online US based store, they ship to both the US and Canada.

Busy Mommy Products review

Stacy not only runs this blog to show Mom's what is available for their kids she also makes the most adorable tutus and sells them at her etsy store. She like Olive Kids is trying to get the word out about a mom run business (although Olive Kids is actually a Mom and Dad run business) we worked together to promote each others work. This is what she has to say about Olive Kids.

I am sure that you have seen other reviews of Olive Kids. I know that I had. Olive Kids was actually the inspiration for me to try to get the word out about my tutus through mom review blogs.

So of course I was super excited about the idea that I was going to get to review one of their items. I was sent 4 Flowerland Butterfly Knob. They are super cute!

From the website:

"This ceramic butterfly drawer knob matches our colorful Flowerland kids bedding line. Makes for a fast, easy and inexpensive way to "fun up" your child`s room. Comes in a set of two.

One and one half inch diameter drawer knob. Comes with a one inch screw that fits most drawers."

It was super easy to install and they are so very cute!

The inspiration behind Olive Kids was simple. Anita and Russell were looking for cute, coordinated, affordable bedding for their kids, that were not tied to a TV show or movie. They couldn't find them anywhere, so they created Olive Kids. How cool is that?

When you go to the website, you will find affordable, fun and colorful kids bedding and coordinating room decor.

Don't you think this pink and white tutu would go perfect with our tea party collection?

Mammalicious Finds - what a great name

The theme of their blog is "Two Mammas bringing you fun, fashionable & funky finds for your family! Olive Kids must of fit the bill for them because this is what they had to say about us.

Olive Kids is a wonderland of kids bedding and room decor. Everything from clocks to placemats to infant bedding. They have really cool themes like, pirates, outer space, mermaids dinosaurs, wild animals and cowboys- yeehaw!

Not only do they carry toddler AND twin sets, but you'll also find full and queen sets! I discovered a few unique items I've never seen before. The personalized floor pillow (pictured below) for those little ones who like to chill on the floor while watching their favorite movie. Comfy!

You need to check out their "Hugger" Comforters. "Hugger comforters are sewn at the foot and tailored to fit the mattress. The corners at the foot of the comforter wrap around so that the Hugger "hugs" the mattress. This easy to use, innovative design makes bunk beds, beds with footboards, and daybeds a breeze to make! " What a fabulous idea and saves time!

For all the sewers out there Olive Kids even offers coordinating fabric by the yard to create special items such as curtains or table skirts.

Olive Kids give-away

Olive Kids sponsored a contest at the-giveaway.com! Katie Lyons who is the owner of this site was such a pleasure to work with and this is what she had to say about us!

If you are a parent and you haven't heard of Olive Kids yet, you definitely need to go check them out. Talk about your one stop shopping for your kid! They have a bunch of cute designs, from robots, to mermaids, to pirates, to butterflies, etc. etc., you'll have no problem finding something to suit the little tyke in your life. And once you find the design you like, they have about a million products for you to get it on! (Okay, maybe not a million....but a lot) You can completely coordinate your child's room, their bedding, rug, pillows, wall art, clock, even the knobs on their dresser! Plus, they will get to take their favorite design out of their room as well. They can get their own placemat, magnets, even shower curtains! Almost makes me want to be a kid again so Calvin's not the only one having all the fun! :)

I mean, he got his own Personalized Pack and all of the designs are so bright and fun, I love them! I had to get the placemat in the Pirates design because it looks like a treasure map and I know I would have had a blast with that when I was younger. And how cool is that robot? As soon as I saw that robot nametag, I knew Calvin had to have it. And though he may not be able to use any of these yet (except for his awesome-o dinosaur clock), I know he's going to love them in the future. What little boy wouldn't? And in the meantime, I get to use the bookmark (I can't help it, it's so fun, and very sturdy, way better than my paper bookmark I was using before), and I just might be tempted to use that placemat sometime....I deserve to have fun too you know! ;) Oh and one other thing I wanted to mention to you mommas, they are all really great quality; sturdy as well as being very professionally printed. So no worries there.

Like I said, if you're a parent, you need to go check out Olive Kids ASAP, especially since the holidays are coming and I can think of more than a few kids that would be very excited to get some of the cool stuff they have at Olive Kids!

She had 365 people enter the contest! The lucky winner received their very own personalized pack of Olive Kids products.

Here's what Momma in Flips Flops has to say about OK?

Once you have kids it seems like your always on the look out for something different, unique and fun that your kids are going to love that you love too, right? Visit Olive Kids and that's exactly what you'll find.

Olive kids has great colorful kid designs in your classic loving designs that you'll fall in love with. Everything from accessories, bedding, clocks, art work, and many amazing personalized items. You won't get bored looking through their site and I know there will be many things you will want to add to your list. Read all about Olive Kids by clicking here.

I as well as my kids were thrilled to review their personalized placemats and bookmarks. It was so fun just to pick out the design that each of them wanted and then to get them in the mail and use them daily is even more fun. The placemats are definitely a great thing to add to meal time, helping keep the messes cleaned up and they are made in such a way that the corners haven't curled up and still look as good as the day we got them. The bookmarks are fun and used a lot here. My son even at age 3 knows what they're for and loves to add it to his book if we have to take breaks while reading. Personalized items are always lots of fun!

Get your hands on something fabulous from Olive Kids for the holidays, I know the bedding would be an exceptional gift and all the accesories that go along with it. =)

The Angel Forever - forever loves Olive Kids

A little while ago Mommy Cracked had a really neat giveaway for some fabulous Olive Kids merchandise. Like I do from time to time, I entered a comment for a chance to win. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally get to see Olive Kids personalized items in my own house.

I have been in love with Olive Kids items for years now. I have drooled at their amazing bedroom sets with endless matching accessories (even for boys). I have thought about getting my boys and relatives some of the personalized products that they offer. Now thanks to seeing the items, I know this is something I will buy for people this holiday season.

Thanks to being a random winner of the giveaway I was allowed to pick out three personalized items. I had my choice of a placemat, name tag, and book mark. NHL selected our items. For the placemat we ordered the Out of This World one with our last name on it for everyone to be able to use. Next up NHL wanted the Robots name tag for his back pack. Last but not least we it was time for a very important item. As a new reader of chapter books, NHL takes his book marks seriously. He finally opted for the Pirates book mark.

I sent my selections to Kim at Olive Kids on a Thursday evening. The package with the items seen below arrived Saturday morning. Talk about your fast shipment and processing of personalized items!

Thank you again to Mommy Cracked and Olive kids for the great giveaway and fabulous goodies. . . we love them!

Working Moms Love Olive Kids Drawer Knobs

Working Momma 24 said

I recently received the Olive Kids drawer knobs to check out. I was really excited to get them, as Gameboy's drawer knobs were getting loose and one was completely gone.

I was really impressed with the hand painted quality of these knobs. The knobs are made of a heavy duty ceramic, these aren't your cheapie knobs. These knobs are made to last. This is the set I got and just love. I hope to add to the theme soon."

Olive Kids not only has drawer knobs, they have a huge selection of children's bedroom accessories. They just about have any kind of kid theme you could think of and I don't mean commercialized themes. The "non-commercialization" is what I love about Olive Kids, along with the quality workmanship. I could browse their site for hours. They are constantly adding new items and have a wide price range depending on what your looking for.
Check out Olive Kids to find the perfect something to add that special touch to any kid's bedroom.

Boutique Cafe Dishes About Olive Kids

“Olive” our new bedding from Olive Kids!

You’re probably learning more about me from my Daily Dish reviews than you’d like to but it can’t be helped. At Boutique Cafe we pride ourselves on our honest product reviews and with honesty comes personal information. Here’s another tidbit about me you can add to your file: I’m not big on character clothing or accessories. Though I caved on my toddler son’s Thomas backpack, you won’t find TV or movie characters anywhere else besides his underwear. Perhaps that’s why I love Olive Kids line of bedding and room decor.

Olive Kids was created to offer parents like me “an affordable alternative to the character based entertainment licenses.” The company believes kids’ rooms should inspire creativity and play and not serve as an advertisement for a TV show or movie. I couldn’t agree more! Though my baby girl isn’t old enough to realize it, she is now the proud owner of Olive Kids’ Tea Party bedding set. My mom was in town when I opened the box and she and I could not stop oohing and aahing over every single piece. From the darling super soft sheets to the sweet polka-dot and stripe comforter to the pretty pink sham with its plush-to-the-touch teapot, the set is perfect for little girls without being over-the-top girly (something else I’m not big on). The icing on the cake (pun totally intended) is the accent pillow with its yummy cupcake complete with sprinkles.

If you have a little one who’s more transportation than tea party, he’ll love Olive Kids’ Trains, Planes and Trucks or Heroes bedding sets. But these sets aren’t just fun for kids. Parents will notice the attention to detail: comforters have outline quilting; shams have embroidery and soft plush; and cotton sheets have attached ribbon details. Did I mention you can get all of these things at a fraction of the cost for something similar from PBK (a.k.a. Pottery Barn Kids)?

If you already have your toddler’s or kid’s bedding you’ll want to check out Olive Kids’ great room decor. My top three picks are the floor pillows (and you can get these personalized!), canvas growth charts (also personalized), and peel & stick chalkboards. Plan to spend lots of time on their site–you’ll find lots to love at Olive Kids! –Emily
